Sporting KC v Philadelphia Union

The season of soccer has returned! Sporting KC face off against Philadelphia Union in their opening match of the 2024 season! First half was underway with Sporting KC eager to score first, in the minute 2:37 johnny russell took a close shot within the penalty area but was denied by goalkeeper Oliver Semmle. At first glance it seemed as though sporting KC could not find the back of the net. Until minute 18 when midfielder Remi Walter scored the opening goal for Sporting KC. 

In the second half right away a foul was committed against midfielder Remi Walter which led to a yellow card for philadelphia. As the match was coming to its final minute it would seem at first glance that both teams failed to reach the back of the net in the second half. Until minute 94 when midfielder Alejandro Bedoya scored for philadelphia from a last minute corner kick. Resulting in a tie.
